Keynote speakers > Lionel Reveret
Lionel Reveret is an INRIA researcher at the INRIA center of Université Grenoble Alpes and the LJK laboratory. He specializes in video-based motion analysis and its applications in 3D animation, biology, and human biomechanics, particularly in sports. His early doctoral work focused on studying facial movements for speech production. He then turned to applying his research by linking 3D animation and metrology for biology, ranging from the study of animal locomotion to estimating the movement of trees in the wind. He is co-author of around fifty scientific publications in computer science, neuroscience, and biology. This multidisciplinary path has also involved coordinating several research projects. He is currently mainly dedicated to advancing video analysis in the field of High-Performance Sport (HPS), in cooperation with INSEP and the France.Sport department of ANS. Notably, he coordinated the ANR PerfAnalytics project, which brought together 8 research teams, 3 high-performance training centers, and 5 sports federations (Climbing, BMX Cycling, Gymnastics, Boxing, and Wrestling). The goal of this project was to provide scientific and technical support to elite athletes by using video analysis as a reliable measurement tool for objectifying performance through automatic in-situ extraction of biomechanical and statistical parameters. |
